KBR - Employment Opportunity

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR FORMER POLICE TRAINERS

KBR is a global engineering, construction, training and services company supporting government services and many other markets.

KBR have vacancies for suitably qualified former police trainers to fill a number of positions in the UK and overseas.

Certificate in Knowledge of Policing – Police Pre-join Training

As an Approved Provider of the College of Policing (formerly NPIA) and an OCR Awarding Centre, KBR deliver a high calibre accredited course that leads to a Level 3 Certificate in Knowledge of Policing (CKP).

The great majority of UK Police Forces are considering adopting CKP. The Metropolitan Police currently require applicants for the position of constable to have successfully completed a pre-join course, and be in possession of a current Certificate in Knowledge of Policing, before applying for the recruit selection process.

The pre-join course covers the majority of the knowledge a person will need to be a police officer and it is undertaken in their own time and at their own expense. If successful at recruit selection, applicants will receive the remainder of their initial training - skills and practical based learning - once they have become trainee constables.

KBR is developing a capability to deliver CKP across England and Wales. While we have to date delivered CKP courses in Central London, we are now developing a programme to deliver this course in the Home Counties and in the major urban conurbations in the Midlands and North of England

Applicants must hold a recognised training qualification and have previous experience in the delivery of foundation level training at force or regional (DTC) level. All appointments will be on a part-time basis. Previous applicants need not re-apply as you will be contacted should suitable opportunities become available.

Interested parties should send their CV to rod.davidson@kbr.com ensuring it includes full name, address, telephone number(s) and details of qualifications and relevant recent experience.

Initial Police Training – Africa / Middle East

Applicants must hold a recognised training qualification and have previous experience in the delivery of policing skills. A current UK passport is essential. We are looking to work a cycle of 6 weeks in country followed by 2 weeks paid leave. Further details of the highly competitive package are available on application.
